As the Wellness Manager you will be passionate about leading a team that is committed to improving the overall health and wellness of Irving Oil employees. With a highly collaborative approach you'll design, implement and measure comprehensive programs that support our one company strategy for health and wellness. With a growing workforce that reaches across our network in Atlantic Canada, New England and Ireland, this is an opportunity to be extremely creative in finding new ways to inspire and engage our employees in a meaningful way.

What you’ll need to succeed

Innovatively design and activate a multi-faceted (body, mind and heart) enterprise wide wellness program that builds community, drives engagement and improves employee’s personal health and overall fosters a culture of employee wellness.
Ability to build a highly engaged and motivated team to deliver on the One Company strategy
Preparing and maintaining budgets, record maintenance and program reporting
Practicing strong leadership and participating in related Brand activities and projects as required
Build and maintain a network of wellness ambassadors across the company to foster engagement and support programming initiatives
Create/strengthen a network of external partnerships related to health and wellness across company (e.g. CMHA, YMCA)
Collaborate with internal resource groups (D&I, eMERGe, inspire) to ensure synergies are leveraged and strategies are aligned to foster engagement and drive participation (i.e. sports and recreation leagues)
An innovative mindset to keep the program fresh and current by always bringing new ideas to the table
Become a subject matter expert on wellness related topics/trends and best practices, both globally and industry specific
Design, activate, oversee, and measure success of quarterly fitness schedules for employees
Utilizing various communication mediums to promote and facilitate the development of awareness, knowledge, skills and commitment to achieving a workplace culture of wellness

Travel

Travel is not a requirement for this position; however some local travel may be necessary from time to time.

Education and experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, plus experience in the field of health & wellness..

7-10 years of proven experience with program development, implementation and evaluation experience

5-10 years of demonstrated leadership, project management and employee interaction experience

Knowledge of the principles, theories and practices of successful program design

Good knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint (create, populate, update).
