Barrick is looking for a highly detail oriented, organized, and driven Legal Administrative Assistant to support the Toronto Legal team temporarily on a 1-year contract. Reporting into the Senior Manager, Corporate Secretary, the Legal Administrative Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Legal team with general administration.
Primary responsibilities and tasks:
- Coordinating and maintaining various legal documents and files (electronic and paper)
- Generating purchase requisitions based on agreements; on-boarding vendors as required; processing invoices against Purchase Orders (PO’s) for payment; adding funds to PO’s as required; researching payment history
- Co-ordinating and making travel arrangements
- Submitting expense reports
- Opening and sorting mail; receiving of products; general clerical duties as assigned
Experience
- 1-2 years experience working with SAP software is required
- Strong knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, SharePoint are required
- 2-3 years experience in similar role within Legal department is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- A team player, willing to continuously and proactively collaborate, share and seek information and guidance
