We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Worker II to join our team. The Maintenance Worker II will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities maintenance, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently.
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday; 40 hours per week; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm plus on call rotation.
Some Key Duties:
- Routine maintenance tasks including flooring, door, and window installations; drywalling including mudding and taping; painting, basic electrical, plumbing and furnace maintenance and repairs, etc.
- Weekly, monthly and semi-annual duties are performed on time and in accordance with social housing standards.
- Maintenance related factory standards are followed for each piece of equipment inspection results are responded to and addressed in a timely manner.
- Performs move-in and move-out inspections with tenants to ensure all repairs have been captured before new tenants move in.
- Service requests are responded to and addressed in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
1. High School Diploma
2. Class 5 Driver’s license in good standing (mandatory)
3. Negative Vulnerable Sector/Criminal Record Check (mandatory)
4. Drywall repair
5. Flooring installation
6. Use power tools
7. Installation of doors, windows, etc.
8. Painting
9. Deck and fencing construction/repairs
10. Basic electrical, plumbing and furnace repairs
11. Ability to lift 50lbs
12. Ability to work in high places
