Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to join our team in NW. This role involves providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, home care, and hospice care. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those experiencing dementia. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Support patients with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Administer medications according to care plans and ensure proper documentation
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Support patients with mobility and transfer activities, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Monitor health status and report any changes to supervising healthcare professionals
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, home care, or hospice care is preferred
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia care is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach
- Knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing procedures is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and patience when working with vulnerable populations
- Certification or training in caregiving or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory
