Trans-Western Electric Ltd located in the Township of Langley, is an electrical contractor specializing in the areas of streetlighting, traffic signalization, area lighting, parking lot lighting and sports field/court lighting.
We are currently seeking a part time team member to assist the accounting department with data entry and general office administration, who has a willingness to learn. This is a part time position with the potential for more.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Receives all incoming invoices and reviews for mathematical accuracy and completeness and then matches with purchase orders & packing slips, verifying, coding and posting of invoices in QuickBooks
· Follows up on discrepancies with purchaser / project managers / suppliers
· Preparing bi-monthly payments for account administrator in accordance with company payment practices taking into consideration some suppliers special payment terms
· Reconciliation of monthly Visa statements
· Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner
· Answer phones, support account administrator and project managers when needed and complete other administrative duties as required
Job Requirements:
· Good communication, organization, and interpersonal skills and the ability to meet deadlines
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Keen attention to detail and be able to problem solve
· Knowledge of MS Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook
· Grade 12 required, some bookkeeping knowledge an asset
· Employment conditional on completion of criminal record check.
