Level 1 Early Childhood Educator (Full-Time)

Tri-Community Childcare Centre is a not-for-profit organization committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Opening in Fall 2026, we are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Level 1 Early Childhood Educator to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality childcare services for local families.
Position Summary
The Level 1 Early Childhood Educator supports the daily care, supervision, and well-being of children in a licensed childcare setting. Working under the guidance of senior educators and the Director, the educator assists with implementing activities, maintaining a safe environment, and fostering positive relationships with children and families.
This is a full-time position, with shifts that may be scheduled during the morning or afternoon, based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in providing a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for children.
- Support the implementation of age-appropriate activities and learning experiences.
- Supervise and engage with children during play, meals, rest periods, and daily routines.
- Encourage positive social interactions and healthy development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment.
- Follow all licensing regulations, centre policies, and health and safety requirements.
- Work collaboratively with other educators and support staff.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Alberta Early Childhood Educator Level 1 Certification.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and development.
