Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and assisting guests with their dining experience. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with strong communication and time management skills. The Server will play a key role in delivering memorable dining experiences while maintaining efficient restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices
- Experience with cashiering, basic math for billing, and cash handling procedures
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for specific duties such as food preparation or serving techniques
