Understanding of effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems software and related JDE infrastructure.Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the JDE infrastructure. Participate in the development of a comprehensive security program. Assist with JDEdwards and AS/400 security.


Assist project teams with technical issues in the Initiation and Planning phases of our standard Project Management standards. Understanding of JDEdwards EnterpriseOne CNC Administration. Assist with installing, configuring, administering, tuning and troubleshooting JDEdwards EnterpriseOne. Troubleshoot and resolve all JDE EnterpriseOne CNC related issues. Assist with installs/upgrades of EnterpriseOne and related components. Will also have to assist with OMW installation, setup, project promotions, and execute the deployment of JDEdwards program changes. Will manage backups and assist with recovery processes and disaster recovery documentation as it relates to JDE EnterpriseOne.

Engineering of System Admin related solutions for various project and operational needs.

Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.

Develop and maintain, by assisting with, the installation and configuration JDEdwards apply ESUs, ASUs, Tools Release Updates and Service Pack upgrades

Research and recommend innovative and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.

Operations and Support: Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of JDEdwards, web server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs.

Disaster Recovery: Assist developing implementation, testing and maintain server level disaster recovery plans for JDEdwards.

AS/400: Support of the AS/400 operating systems and DB2 database.

Security Administration: Participate in the development of a comprehensive security program. Manage JDEdwards and AS/400 security.

Simmons operating systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies). Understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position's role in support of these systems including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.

Physical Activities: Enters and locates information on a computer. Visually verifies information, often in small print. Communicates with Customers, Vendors, or Employees via telephone, in person, and/or electronic mail. May present information to small or large groups.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): As required by visiting facility.

Travel: One to two offsite classes per year.

Technical Experience: 1-3 years JDEdwards EnterpriseOne CNC administration and configuration experience.

Industry Experience: N/A.

Minimum Education: Bachelor degree in computer science or related field, or a minimum of 4 years of related functional experience in related role.

Preferred Education: NA
This position can sit in either Siloam Springs, AR or in Streetsville, Ontario.

Must have JD Edwards experience.
