Outside Sales Representative
Location: Wingham, ON
Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 Base Salary + commission
Travel: Up to 50%
Work Arrangement: Field-Based / Territory Sales

Our client is a leading manufacturer and provider of customized building solutions serving the agricultural, commercial, and industrial sectors across North America. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to support and expand their presence within the agricultural market while continuing to develop commercial sales opportunities throughout the territory.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and managing projects from initial consultation through completion.
The successful candidate will be responsible for prospecting new customers, managing existing accounts, conducting site visits, preparing proposals, and closing sales opportunities. While candidates with an agricultural background are strongly preferred, individuals with proven commercial sales experience and transferable consultative sales skills will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Territory Management
- Develop and execute a territory growth strategy
- Prospect and identify new business opportunities within agricultural and commercial markets
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, industry associations, trade shows, and cold calling
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
- Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline updates
Consultative Sales
- Conduct customer meetings, site visits, and needs assessments
- Develop customized solutions based on customer requirements
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and sales presentations
- Negotiate contracts and close new business opportunities
- Manage opportunities from initial contact through signed agreement
Account Management & Relationship Building
- Build long-term relationships with customers, contractors, consultants, and industry partners
- Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the sales cycle
- Identify opportunities for repeat business and referrals
- Represent the company at industry events and trade shows
Project Coordination
- Work closely with internal teams including engineering, estimating, manufacturing, and project management
- Monitor project timelines and customer expectations
- Assist in resolving issues and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Support projects through completion while maintaining strong client relationships
Qualifications
- 3+ years of outside sales experience
- Agricultural industry experience strongly preferred
- Commercial sales experience with transferable skills will also be considered
- Proven track record of business development and relationship management
- Strong consultative selling and closing abilities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage a sales territory independently
- Experience preparing proposals and quotations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- CRM experience is considered an asset
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory
