We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista/Cafe All rounder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, ensuring that each guest receives a memorable experience. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the café, and providing excellent customer service to create a welcoming environment. You are also expected to prepare sandwiches and other menus according to the chef’s standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Prepare Sandwiches, salads according to the chef’s recipes and standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation areas and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards in all food handling practices.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies.
- Engage with customers to build rapport and encourage repeat business.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food service or coffee industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change.
- Knowledge of food safety practices related to food handling and preparation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others in a team-oriented setting.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00-$16.50 per hour
