Service Advisor

SUMMARY
Sells and schedules needed service work in the service department while following service processes and procedures set out by Eastgate Ford, as a liaison between the customer, technician and service and parts manager. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, salesmanship and good organization skills. Ability to adapt and change with the requirements of the customer and enjoy working with customers on a daily basis. Ability to address and resolve customer and/or employee concerns in an equitable, ethical and fair manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Schedules service appointments. Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible
- Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information
- Creates a properly written repair order including all required information as well as clearly stating customer concerns
- Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
- Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted Closes repair order as appropriate and ensure repair order total matches the estimate
- Explains completed work and all charges to customers.
- Maintains high customer satisfaction standards.
- Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process
- Maintains a professional appearance.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent; and three to five years direct experience. Ford brand experience is an asset.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Ontario Driver's License in good standing
