Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring access points, patrolling designated areas, and maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. Prior experience in law enforcement or surveillance is a plus, but comprehensive training will be provided. The Security Guard position offers an essential service that helps protect our organization’s operations and property.
Duties
- Monitor and control access to the facility by checking credentials and maintaining visitor logs
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or safety hazards
- Observe activity through surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras and report any suspicious behavior
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, following established protocols
- Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
- Enforce company policies related to loss prevention and safety procedures
- Assist in crowd control during events or high-traffic periods
- Ensure all security equipment is operational and report any malfunctions or damages
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, surveillance, or loss prevention is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance technology is advantageous
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognize potential threats or safety issues
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and stand for extended periods
