Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Term Position Executive Housekeeper to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. This role is vital in ensuring a welcoming environment for both staff and visitors, with responsibilities that include managing cleaning operations, supervising custodial staff, and coordinating maintenance tasks. The Executive Housekeeper plays a key role in upholding the professional appearance and operational efficiency of our establishment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all housekeeping activities to ensure cleanliness standards are met across the facility
- Oversee daily cleaning operations, including commercial cleaning tasks using appropriate tools and equipment
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment such as hand tools, power tools, and custodial supplies
- Perform facilities maintenance tasks or oversee contractors for repairs involving heavy lifting or the use of power tools
- Train and mentor custodial staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and use of equipment
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules to optimize efficiency while minimizing disruption to operations
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inventory levels, and staff performance
- Communicate effectively with management regarding operational needs, safety concerns, or maintenance issues
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed promptly while adhering to quality standards
Skills
- Proven experience in custodial work, commercial cleaning, or facilities maintenance with a focus on high standards of cleanliness
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Exceptional communication skills for training staff and coordinating with management
- Customer service orientation to address concerns from staff or visitors professionally
- Ability to perform custodial duties independently or supervise a team effectively
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks involving minor repairs or troubleshooting using hand tools or power tools is preferred
