We are seeking a motivated Dairy Farm Labourer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to daily farm activities, ensuring the well-being of our dairy cattle and the smooth operation of farm machinery and systems. Duties
Full time dairy farm labourer needed in a milking herd of 90 cows, 2 Delaval Robot farm located in Grafton, Nova Scotia. There are 450 acres of cropping including corn, soybeans, wheat and grass.
Job Description:
- Assisting in daily operation of a 2 robot dairy farm
- Feeding cows/calves and making mixes
- Monitoring of herd, stall cleaning and bedding in order to provide excellent herd health
- Play an important role in the cropping operation including working with all pieces of equipment required
- Operation of various farm machinery
Qualifications:
- Have experience in cropping and handling farm equipment
- Must posses self motivation, problem solving ability, be able to follow direction and be able to anticipate needs of the farm in collaboration with management
- Ability to be a team player with the expectation the applicant is available for the hours needed during harvests
- Previous experience an asset
- Stable work history

Compensation:
Salary starting at $19 per hour with possibility of more depending on experience. Work 80-85 hours biweekly (workdays start at 0730am), alternating weekends with 3-4 days off on weekend off (negotiable). Weekends worked are for basic chores equivalent to 8 hours per weekend approximately. Benefits program available after a three month probationary period. Please provide work references.
