Our mission: Transform the way GBS Canada public sector teams develop proposal content to support opportunities in moving towards winning bids by:
Adhering to and developing best practices for content and answers

Offering strategic writing services to bid teams

The Public Sector PAC supports GBS Canadian public sector bid teams by providing writing services that promote high-scoring responses within the written proposal response portion of the request for proposal (RFP) procurement process.

What are the top responsibilities of this role?

As a proposal writer, you will write, edit, and provide strategic input for scored Canadian public sector proposals, consistent with corporate writing standards and messaging.

Who are the primary teams this person will work with?

You will work with PAC team members, proposal bid managers, solution teams, subject matter experts, and opportunity owners.

YOU MUST HAVE:
5 yrs formal professional business and/or technical writing experience
2 yrs proposal writing experience
Technical writing certification from an accredited university or college
This role is remote and open to candidates across the country. If you reside in Quebec, you must be proficient if business speaking French.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Formal experience writing in a professional business environment

Minimum 2 years' experience with:
writing formal business communications
training or coaching, including materials development
adhering to a style guide in writing, such as a corporation's style guide, Chicago Manual of Style, Canada’s style guide, or any other formal style guide
document & repository management experience, including best practices
developing proposal value propositions or win themes
writing Canadian public sector proposals
interviewing or research experience to obtain facts and information
working remotely with Canadian or global teams

Minimum 1 year experience with:
using Mural, Slack, and other team collaboration tools
contracts and statement of works, such as writing, updating, translating scope into project activities, or compliance etc.
Knowledge of solutions and industries, particularly within the Canadian public sector
Experience in ‘one-voice’ editing

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with experience writing proposals for the Canadian public sector, in particular, responses to RFPs issued by the provinces, territories, and the Government of Canada.
