Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic food service team. This role is essential in delivering exceptional customer experiences through efficient food preparation, excellent service, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong time management skills, and a commitment to food safety and sanitation. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, including taking orders and upselling menu items
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, kitchen equipment, and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely order completion during busy periods
- Assist with food safety protocols, including proper food handling and storage procedures
- Support team members in various kitchen tasks to ensure smooth operations during shifts
- Follow all sanitation guidelines to uphold health standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of POS systems, including Micros POS, is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Familiarity with food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures in the food industry
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities
- Prior kitchen or food preparation experience is preferred but not required
