As the Sourcing Demand Specialist at Siemens, you will be responsible for end-to-end forecasting of the Ruggedcom product portfolio. You will use your passion for analytics to drive continuous improvement of the S&OP process and increase forecast accuracy.
What you will do?
Responsible for the end-to-end forecasting of the Ruggedcom product portfolio, including data collection, data analysis, forecast maintenance, and distribution of material forecasts to suppliers
Drive the S&OP process, which includes consensus forecasting and demand planning to ensure alignment between demand, supply, and financial projections
Lead quarterly forecast review meetings with Product Management, Sales, and Senior Management
Monitor forecast accuracy and generate new ideas to improve accuracy
Ensure alignment between forecast and end of life /phase-in phase-out planning to avoid excess inventory
Support cross functions, such as Material Planning, Strategic Procurement, Finance, and Operations, for inquiries and analysis related to demand & forecast, including root cause analysis
Work with Inside Sales to assess material requirements for special projects, and drive independent demand as required
Thanks to your strong end to end understanding and advanced knowledge of ERP systems, you will also play an important role in supporting the Supply Chain team by:
Supporting continuous improvement projects within Supply Chain, with the overall goals of increasing delivery performance and driving digitalization
Exploring novel predictive analysis techniques, including artificial intelligence, with the goal of incorporating state-of-the-art practices into the current forecasting process
Using your logistics expertise and collaboration skills to contribute to cross-functional initiatives to improve the S&OP process
What will you need to succeed?
5 years of experience in a supply chain or production environment
College or University degree in relevant discipline
Strong analytical skills
Advanced SAP knowledge
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including advanced knowledge of Excel
Experience with data visualization and data mining tools (such as Tableau or Celonis) is an asset
Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills and the ability to lead effective meetings
Good collaboration and teamwork abilities
Self-starter, takes initiative to drive continuous improvement
Interested in learning and exploring new tools and technologies; open to out-of-the-box thinking
