Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Ensure all dishes meet quality standards before serving to guests
- Enforce cleanliness and sanitation protocols throughout the kitchen environment
- Lead by example in serving guests with professionalism and hospitality
- Support menu development and contribute innovative ideas for culinary offerings
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food presentation
- Excellent team management and leadership capabilities
- Extensive restaurant management knowledge including operations and customer service
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service hours
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on teamwork and hospitality
- Experience in food industry settings with a focus on restaurant experience and kitchen operations
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team, manage multiple tasks, and uphold high standards of quality and safety
