We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Dispense prescription medications accurately in accordance with physician orders and legal requirements
- Provide medication counseling and education to patients regarding proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness, dosage, and potential drug interactions using medical terminology expertise
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy plans
- Maintain detailed records of prescriptions dispensed and patient interactions
- Monitor patient responses to medication therapy and report adverse reactions or concerns
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety protocols
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stock control of pharmaceuticals
Experience
- Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the state of practice
- Prior hospital experience or acute care experience is highly desirable
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Strong background in patient care, medical terminology, and medication administration processes
- Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams
