Versante Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel located in Richmond and seeking a dedicated, professional, customer service-orientated Server Assistant, with fine dining experience, to join the Versante Restaurant team. The Server assistant reports directly to the Food and Beverage Manager and Restaurant Supervisor. Server assistants are responsible for aiding servers and guests with dinner service. Resetting tables, preparing tables for seating, polishing cutlery and all wares, maintaining an attractive and safe dining environment, and other duties as directed by Management. The Server Assistant must at all times maintain a polished and well-groomed appearance and conduct themselves with grace and a dedication to guest service.
Responsibilities
- Greet, make personal connections, and make every guest interaction a memorable experience
- Assist in the delivery of food to table and the proper clearing of the table
- Set tables according to elevated service standards and number of guests
- Keep all work areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Understand the service flow and service choreography.
- Be proactive in assessing guest needs and relaying communications from guest to servers.
- Enhance teamwork wherever possible.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and entire restaurant throughout the shift
- Complete closing duties, including restocking items, and the cleaning of back of house service areas.
Qualifications
- Must be available to work various shifts which include weekdays, weekends and holidays based on business needs
- Minimum one year bussing experience in a hotel or restaurant setting
- Must be polished and conduct professional communication skills at all times
- Excellent team player and able to work with minimum supervision
- In addition to restaurant duties, food delivery assistance may be required in other parts of the hotel based on business needs
- Energetic personality and remain positive and professional at all times
Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour
