Hoco Hotels is seeking a warm, reliable, and guest-focused Breakfast / Lunch Attendant to join our team at Casa 1881, located at The Windsor Hotel in Stratford, Ontario.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys early mornings, takes pride in presentation and cleanliness, and delivers welcoming, attentive service. In addition to breakfast service, this position supports lunch/brunch service, daily prep, and dining room setup for dinner and happy hour.
Position Overview
Reporting to the F&B Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing daily breakfast service while supporting ongoing food & beverage operations throughout the day.
As one of the first points of contact for guests each morning, you play a key role in creating a positive and memorable start to their experience.
Schedule Requirements
This role requires full schedule flexibility, as shifts may vary weekly and may include:
- Typical Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday (with ocassional Monday or Tuesday where needed due to demand or scheduling)
- AM Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Full-time positions average approximately 37.5–42 hours per week.
- Weekend and holiday availability is required.
Key Responsibilities
Breakfast Service
- Set up and maintain the daily breakfast service to hotel standards
- Prepare specialty coffee beverages (espresso, cappuccino, latte)
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service
Lunch Service & Daily Support
- Assist with lunch service
- Support guest service during lunch periods when required
Dining Room Setup & Operations
- Clear and reset tables efficiently throughout service
- Set up dining spaces for dinner service and happy hour
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of dining areas, including The Lounge
- Ensure all guest-facing areas remain organized, stocked, and inviting
Cleanliness & Standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of buffet, coffee station, kitchen prep areas, and dining room
- Follow all food safety and handling standards
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs
- Report maintenance or equipment issues promptly
Systems & Transactions
- Operate POS system and process payments accurately when required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service (breakfast attendant, server, café, or similar) is an asset
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, professional, and guest-focused demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Food Handler Certification (required or willingness to obtain)
- Smart Serve Certification (required or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with POS systems and specialty coffee is an asset
- Must be available for early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Canadian work authorization
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable operating commercial kitchen equipment
Compensation & Benefits
