JOB DESCRIPTION
A Junior Data Analyst is responsible for turning raw data into clear insights that improve operations, stock levels, sales performance, margins, and customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Help prepare regular sales and inventory reports (by product, customer type, store location and time period).
- Identify opportunities to improve product mix, supplier performance, and overall profitability.
- Support ad-hoc requests from Store Managers, Sales, and the wider team.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock turnover, slow-moving items, stockouts, and recommend reorder points and assist in overall maintenance of inventory.
- Assist with collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data from POS systems, inventory management software, e-commerce platforms and vendors
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Post Secondary degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, charts, basic data cleaning)
- Basic understanding of retail concepts (sales, inventory, margins)
- Ability to explain data findings clearly to non-technical colleagues
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
