POSITION: Casual Residence Support Worker
LOCATION: Richmond/Steveston, BC
SALARY: 25.95/hour
Responsibilities:

Support people in a shared-living home to have positive control of their home and to be active members of their community.

Support people one-to-one and in small group settings.

Ensuring that individuals are connected to friends and family.

Providing individuals with the opportunity to make meaningful choices.

Encouraging and recognizing individuals' contributions.

Ensuring that individuals are safe and to promote their health and well-being.

Assist individuals to gain knowledge and experience to enhance their independence and/or ability to participate in their community.
Qualifications:

The ability to work effectively both as a team member and independently is essential.

Experience and specialized training related to autism, medical needs and /or challenging behaviors is an asset.

ASL knowledge & ability to use alternative communication systems would be an asset.

Working knowledge of computers/mobile apps is necessary.

Graduation from a Community College with an appropriate diploma or certificate in Human Services OR an equivalent of education and experience.

Valid unrestricted BC Class 5 Driver's License preferred.
