Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic food service team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring smooth meal preparation and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
- Support food handling and storage procedures to ensure safety and freshness
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Help with basic cooking tasks, including chopping, mixing, and portioning ingredients
- Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and efficient manner
- Ensure proper organization of supplies and ingredients for efficient kitchen operations
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food handling procedures is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards within the food industry is desirable
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with attention to cleanliness and detail is beneficial
