Le Lunetier Repentigny is looking for a Receptionist to join its dynamic team!
The Receptionist is responsible for welcoming clients, preparing files, directing visitors to the appropriate person or department, answering and transferring phone calls, taking messages, and scheduling appointments.
Main Responsibilities
Client Reception
Direct clients according to the reason for their visit;
Notify the appropriate staff member of the client’s arrival;
Ensure that clients are properly assisted upon arrival.
Daily Preparation
Turn on the equipment used for preliminary testing related to eye examinations;
Ensure that the testing room is ready to receive clients;
Enter client information into the software system.
Administrative Duties
Enter or update client information in the computer system;
Schedule appointments with optometrists and opticians;
Answer the phone and screen calls;
Take messages and forward them to the appropriate staff members;
Provide basic information about the services offered, either by phone or to clients visiting the clinic;
Schedule pickup appointments for completed orders;
Ensure clients are contacted within the appropriate timeframe when their glasses are ready;
Process various payments, including eye examinations, forms, deposits or full payments for eyeglass orders, contact lenses, and other products;
Complete the end-of-day cash register closing procedures: count the cash for deposit purposes, pay optometrists when applicable, and complete the appropriate tracking sheet. The employer will use this information for weekly and monthly accounting of optometrists’ professional fees.
Related Duties
Arrange identical models from the same brand together;
Assist with the weekly preparation of optometry files, as needed;
Assist with pre-testing for eye examinations, as needed;
Manage the collection of eyeglass frames to be donated to Groupe Lion and Optométristes sans frontières;
Restock missing frames on displays;
Restock cases, wipes, and bottles of eyeglass cleaner at the reception desk;
Conduct a monthly inventory of older orders stored in the main cabinet;
Assist opticians with mail;
Ensure an adequate supply of necessary stationery, including eye examination files, business cards, etc.;
Ensure an adequate supply of sanitary products, including toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, etc.;
Ensure an adequate supply of disinfecting products;
Restock products such as eye drops, cleaning wipes, masks, contact lens care solution, etc.;
Maintain the cleanliness of the office on a daily basis, including vacuuming, emptying garbage bins, and cleaning tables, shelves, eyeglasses, washrooms, the kitchen, etc.

Required Knowledge and Skills
Proficiency in written and spoken French;
Computer skills.
Education and Requirements
High school diploma (an asset);
Customer service experience (an asset).
