The Granite Club is looking for a full time Head Skating Professional who will serve the best interest of the Granite Club and its Skating Members in overseeing the operations of the Skating Program. The Head Skating Professional will professionally deliver a quality Skating Program to the membership.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing Granite Gold service to all Members, Guests, and Staff; Genuine Hospitality, Outstanding Attention to Detail, Listening and Anticipating Needs, and Dedication to Excellence
- Ensuring established Granite Club and Skating standards are met, with correct procedures and administration.
- Initiate and coordinate promotion of the Skating program within the Club.
- Prepare and/or revise the Skating programs annually or as the need arises in co-operation with the Skating Manager and Skating Development Coach.
- Work with the Skating Manager to identify budget program requirements and recommendations for the upcoming year.
- Provide an annual on and off ice schedule and review with the Skating office.
- Budget control for all coaching hours within the program.
- Responsible for the training, supervision, and performance management of Club Skating coaches; lead, direct, and be a positive role model for all coaches
- Responsible for the coaches’ qualifications, monitoring attendance, advisory, leaves of absence, substitutions and group assignments.
- Annually review coaching staff with Skating Manager, Skating Development Coach, Head Competitive Coach and Skating Administrative Assistant
- Provide recommendations to the Skating Manager in regards to the condition of the ice and facilities.
- Responsible for working with Head Competitive Coach in coordinating Limited Term Applications and Annual Athletic Members.
- Attend and assist with Club skating events including Ice Shows, Club Championships, Simulations, Seminars and Parent meetings.
- Addressing Member issues pertaining to programs or coaching contractors
- Maintain current professional certification through participation in professional development.
- Organize, promote and oversee special workshops for skaters.
- Work with the Skating Manager, Skating Development Coach, Head Competitive Coach and Skating Administrative Assistant to achieve the goals set out by Club Management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Certified NCCP Level Three and/or International Competitive experience required
- Minimum 5 years coaching experience
- Current CPR/First Aid training
- Active Member of Skate Canada
- Demonstrates strong and effective planning, organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent Member relations, ability to solve problems with finesse.
- Excellent verbal and written skills required
- Proven ability to work under minimal supervision as well as within a team environment
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications recommended
Compensation
This role is commission eligible, with total compensation expected to range from $55K to $100K per annum.
