This is a full time position averaging 6–8 hours per day, totaling approximately 30 to 40 hours per week. Scheduling may include daytime, evening, and weekend shifts depending on operational requirements.
About Jensen Lakes Homeowners Association (JLHOA)
The Jensen Lakes Homeowners Association (JLHOA) is a nonprofit organization responsible for the stewardship of a 22‑acre private lake, park grounds, beach areas, walkways, and community amenities. Our team maintains these shared spaces year‑round to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all residents.
Working at JLHOA means contributing directly to resident experience, community engagement, and the long‑term quality of one of Alberta’s most unique private lake communities.
Position Summary
The Programs Coordinator oversees the planning and delivery of JLHOA programs and events while supporting daily administrative workflows, resident services, and operational tasks. This role helps ensure JLHOA amenities, programs, and community spaces operate safely, efficiently, and in alignment with established service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Programs Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
Program Administration & Communications
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver JLHOA programs, events, and seasonal activities
- Develop annual and quarterly programming calendars and schedules
- Monitor community trends to maintain relevant, high‑quality programming
- Promote programs through website updates, social media, newsletters, and resident communications
- Maintain program documentation, policies, and reports
- Identify sponsorship and grant opportunities
Resident Services & Membership Support
- Provide friendly, professional service to residents in person, by phone, and by email
- Support membership registrations and verify waivers, bookings, and amenity access
- Coordinate membership card distribution and follow up on required documentation
- Communicate and reinforce park rules, booking requirements, and program details
Administrative & Program Operations
- Manage program and amenity trackers, attendance records, and incident reporting
- Process bookings and reservations for outdoor amenities and multisport courts
- Support administrative workflows, documentation, and communication tasks
- Assist with program and event setup, execution, logistics, and takedown
- Provide on‑site support to ensure safe, smooth, and positive resident experiences
Park & Facility Operations
- Support daily park operations including check‑ins, amenity monitoring, and resident interaction
- Assist with routine inspections and basic maintenance tasks as trained
- Help maintain clean, safe, and well‑presented park, lake, and walkway areas
Team & Leadership Support
- Support coordination across departments and assist colleagues during peak periods
- Communicate effectively to ensure smooth daily operations
- Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and sound judgment

Experience & Skills
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail)

- Problem‑solving skills and initiative
- Familiarity with Canva, Mailchimp, WordPress, or similar tools is an asset
Education & Competencies
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Ability to follow established procedures and policies consistently
Working Conditions
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Indoor/office‑based work with occasional event or program support
- Flexible shifts, including evenings or weekends as required
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Periods of standing, walking, or light physical activity
Additional Assets (Optional but Beneficial)
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Valid Driver’s License (preferred)
- ProServe Certification
- Pleasure Craft Operator Card (Boating License)
- WHMIS Certification (preferred)
- 1+ year(s) experience in property maintenance, recreation, hospitality, or administrative support
