The Opportunity:
Retail & Processing Store Managers are champions within the organization who work effectively with others by maintaining positive, team-oriented relationships and communicating effectively with others. This results in a particular focus on strategic planning for the particular site and the implementation of corporate strategic plans, as well as team development to meet site KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:
In collaboration with Director, Retail Operations, your key responsibilities will include:

Maximizing sales performance through proper rotation, display, signage and inventory of processed merchandise. Meeting or exceeding sales goals on a consistent basis.
Ensuring high quality customer service is presented and provided by employees in a timely and courteous manner.
Overseeing and regularly auditing till opening and closing procedures. Responsible for all store cash floats and petty cash.
Maximizing used goods processing through the proper application of Goodwill techniques. Meeting or exceeding production goals on a consistent basis.
Hiring, training, and directing the activities of store personnel to provide an efficient and effective work force. Maintaining morale of work force.
Modeling expected behavior and attitudes necessary for all retail positions
Managing all customer concerns, complaints and compliments and develop corrective action plans.
Store Managers work in a multi-functional environment and may at any time be asked to move to assist in other areas or locations to perform functions outside of their regular duties.

Successful candidates will have/do the following:
Post-secondary diploma or degree in retail management or business is preferred.
Minimum 5 (five) years of management experience, preferably in a retail environment.
Ability to influence, empower and motivate staff, and hold team members accountable for the completion of responsibilities as well as attainment of performance goals.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Solid analytical, critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
Sound decision making skills with good business sense and demonstrated initiative.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
Ability to work a flexible schedule (including evening and weekends)
Deliver amazing customer service by going above and beyond for all Goodwill customers.
Demonstrate teamwork and engage fellow Team Members in contributing to Goodwill’s mission & core purpose.
Maintain an open and honest attitude while making moral decisions.
Recognize the great efforts of fellow Team Members through genuine recognition activities.
Contribute to a welcoming & accepting work environment by showing respect at all times.
Hold oneself and fellow Team Members accountable in their roles and for their contributions to Goodwill’s mission & core purpose.
Continuously look to improve oneself and the organization in any aspect including but not limited to processes, communications, tasks and customer experience.
Prioritize safety in all tasks, ensuring safety of self as well as fellow Team Members.
