As our next Materials Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of managing material control, inventory systems, logistics operations, and shipping/receiving activities. Your expertise in supply chain management, inventory optimization, and logistics operations will be critical in ensuring material availability, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and cost-effective execution of supply chain activities.

- Lead and manage material control, inventory management, shipping, and receiving operations
- Drive inventory optimization while ensuring uninterrupted production support
- Coach and develop supervisors and direct reports to achieve safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives
- Collaborate with Operations and department leaders to meet business and budget goals
- Monitor supplier performance related to delivery, service, quality, and compliance
- Manage raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods inventories while maintaining FIFO practices
- Minimize transportation and logistics costs for inbound and outbound shipments
- Coordinate supplier returns, hold areas, and dunnage management activities
- Maintain supplier performance reporting and supply chain records
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, customs brokers, and transportation carriers
- Monitor EDI transactions, ASN processes, and customer shipping requirements
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and customer standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Computer Studies, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, materials management, or supply chain operations
- Strong understanding of supply chain, inventory control, and logistics processes
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably CMS ERP
- Strong computer and data management skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship management abilities
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset
- Experience in automotive manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of EDI systems and ASN management
- Experience managing supplier performance programs
- Experience with customs, transportation, and international trade processes
- Continuous improvement or Lean supply chain experience
