Overview
We are seeking an experienced and organized Dental Receptionist/Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office by providing exceptional front desk support and patient care. This position requires a friendly demeanor, strong administrative skills, and familiarity with dental terminology and electronic medical records. Our current situation dictates that we need an experienced Dental Receptionist primarily that is also a CDA Level 2 Dental Assistant. We have a specialist (Prosthodontist) joining us that will require a CDA Level 2 about once a week.
Hours are primarily Tuesdays,Wednesdays and Thursday 9:00 to 5:00,and half days Fridays and Mondays.
Responsibilities
- Answer the phone,greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations efficiently.
- Schedule appointments and confirm patient visits, ensuring optimal use of the dentist's and Dental Hygienist's time.
- Maintain accurate patient records and claims submission using electronic dental records systems such as Maxident or Dentrix-we have Maxident .
- Handle patient inquiries regarding services, insurance, and billing in a professional manner.
- Process patient payments and manage /submit insurance claims accurately. Must be adept at submitting electronic Insurance/CDCP claims.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
- Be polite and friendly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist and CDA is required-this is a must. You must be familiar with scheduling, billing treatment and submitting dental insurance/CDCP claims .
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in office procedures and practices.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Experience with electronic dental records systems, particularly Maxident or Dentrix, is needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on care and service.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team setting. Positive attitudes create positive outcomes.
