Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on skills across various aspects of construction projects, including restoration, carpentry, plumbing, and more. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, physically capable, and ready to contribute to diverse building and renovation tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, ensuring safety and organization
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform tasks such as framing, caulking, and painting
- Support carpentry tasks including framing, flooring installation, tile laying, and schematic interpretation
- Assist with plumbing and welding work as needed under supervision
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to aid in accurate project execution
- Perform restoration work on existing structures, including surface preparation and finishing
- Help with construction painting and other finishing tasks to ensure quality standards are met
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with construction sites is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, schematics, blueprints reading, and construction processes preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Reliable transportation or access to job sites as required
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to develop new skills
