The Role
As a People and Culture Generalist, you will provide responsive and collaborative support across the Leadership Support Office (LSO) and all peopleCare Long Term Care (LTC) Homes. You will work closely with leaders and employees to support day-to-day People and Culture needs and contribute to a positive, consistent employee experience across the organization.
This position supports across core People and Culture functions, allowing team members to provide well-rounded support, share responsibilities, and maintain continuity across the organization.

Work Type: On Site, In-person, Full-Time Monday-Friday
RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and coordinate recruitment for LSO positions and support Home-level recruitment as required. Including mass recruitments for new homes.

Coordinate onboarding and orientation for LSO employees and support Home-level onboarding, documentation, and Dayforce/ADP training.

Coordinate training and development activities and maintain related records, materials, and resources.

Maintain accurate employee records and support HRIS/Dayforce/ADP administration, system enhancements, and process improvements.

Support People and Culture projects, workforce reporting, and market research to advance organizational priorities.

Coordinate changes and support benefits, leave administration, payroll-adjacent support, provider inquiries, and related employee communications.

Develop, review, maintain, and communicate People and Culture policies and support compliance with employment legislation and collective agreements in the homes.

Support employee and labour relations matters, investigations, grievances, union meetings, arbitration support, and related documentation.

Serve as a point of contact for People and Culture inquiries from the LSO and Homes, including Zendesk requests, and provide guidance and support to Home leaders.

Conduct exit interviews, support employee relations, performance reviews and gather employee feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Support immigration and funding programs, WSIB inquiries, and Health and Safety activities as required.

Support ongoing People and Culture initiatives and perform other related duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field or equivalent industry experience required.

1-5 years of experience in a Human Resources or administrative role required.

CHRP required

Must have a Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to reliable personal transportation, with the ability to travel across peopleCare Homes

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.

Healthcare sector and LTC experience preferred.

Experience with Collective Agreements, Bargaining, Arbitration and Multiple Unions is preferred.

Experience with HRIS systems and recruitment processes is preferred.
