About the Role
The Material Coordinator is responsible for organizing and controlling the flow of formwork of materials for our construction projects. This role ensures the right materials are ordered, delivered, stored, and issued to job sites on time, in the correct quantities, and at the best possible cost. You will work closely with Material/Yard Managers, Site Supervisors, warehouse/yard staff, and suppliers to keep projects moving without delays.
Key Responsibilities
Material Coordination
- Coordinate material requirements with Yard Managers and Site Supervisors for multiple active projects.
- Prepare and maintain material tracking logs for formwork
- Purchasing & Vendor Coordination
- Create and issue purchase orders to approved vendors in line with company policies.
- Obtain and compare quotes from suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and availability.
- Follow up with vendors on order status and delivery dates, and resolve any shortages, delays, or quality issues.
Receiving, Inventory & Storage
- Coordinate deliveries to the warehouse/yard and job sites; verify quantities and quality upon receipt.
- Ensure all materials (including rental items) are received and recorded accurately in the system (ERP/Excel).
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate reorders to avoid stockouts or overstock.
- Site & Logistics Coordination
- Plan and schedule daily/weekly material deliveries to job sites based on site priorities.
- Ensure proper documentation accompanies all shipments (packing slips, delivery tickets, returns).
- Arrange for material returns or transfers between projects as required, including tracking rental returns.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, delivery slips, invoices, and returns.
- Reconcile deliveries with purchase orders and report discrepancies.
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
