Administrator & Bookkeeping Assistant
Part-Time | On-site only Location: Penetanguishene, ON
About the Role
We’re looking for a detail‑oriented Administrator & Bookkeeping Assistant to support daily office operations and assist with financial tasks. This is a part‑time, on‑site position, with the potential to grow into a full‑time role for a candidate who demonstrates strong performance, reliability, and a great fit with our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for reception, greeting visitors, answering phones, and directing inquiries
- Manage daily administrative tasks including filing, scheduling, and correspondence
- Maintain accurate records and organize office documentation
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform bookkeeping tasks using Sage 50, including data entry, transaction posting, and account maintenance is a must
- Handle customer/vendor inquiries professionally
- File invoices, receipts, and payment tracking
- Assist with collection of information for the needs of the customers account (if applicable)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of administrative or bookkeeping experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Proficiency with Sage 50 accounting software is a must
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working on-site in a busy office environment
- Professional and friendly demeanor for reception duties
Nice to Have
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Knowledge of payroll processes
- Post‑secondary education in business, accounting, or office administration
- Experience in small business or multi‑tasking environments
