Writer/Editor
Overview:
We are seeking a talented Writer/Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for writing, editing, and producing high-quality content. As a Writer/Editor, you will play a key role in creating engaging written materials while ensuring accuracy and adherence to our brand voice.
Duties:
- Write and edit various types of content including articles, blog posts, social media posts, and marketing materials
- Proofread and revise content to ensure clarity, coherence, and grammatical accuracy
- Conduct research to gather information for writing projects
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and develop content strategies
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand project requirements and feedback
- Utilize word processing software for drafting and formatting documents
- Copy edit content to improve readability and consistency
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in writing and editing roles
- Strong writing skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in proofreading and grammar rules
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Familiarity with word processing software such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs
- Knowledge of copy editing techniques and best practices
- Experience in conducting research for writing projects
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Experience with SEO best practices for content creation
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)
- Knowledge of AP Style or other style guides
