The Opportunity:
The HR Generalist Student position will provide you with an opportunity to work alongside experienced and talented professionals and take part in interesting and challenging work assignments. Working in a challenging, high volume, fast-paced environment, the HR Generalist student will work closely with the HR Business Advisors (BA’s) and Business Units to provide administrative support to the Client Services team.
- Term length : 8 months
- Term start : January 2025
- Job location : Calgary, AB – Head Office
- Shift schedule : 5 x 2 - 8 hours (Monday – Friday)

Key Accountabilities:
- Create and process complete and accurate Assignment Change Form (ACF) packages including:
- Resignations
- Transfers
- Progressions for hourly employees with fixed rates
- Leaves of Absence
- General employment changes (i.e. crew, supervisor, shift, etc.)
- Create and complete routine HR forms and letters (e.g. progressions, transfers, Living Choices Change Forms, etc.)
- Complete audits within HR Central and send corrections to appropriate departments / Business Advisors.
- Coordinate and complete projects on behalf of the BAs.
What You Bring to The Role:
- Currently enrolled in your 2nd or 3rd year of a degree program in Human Resources
- Respect for confidentiality and discretion
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Works well independently and in a team environment
- Energetic, positive attitude and optimistic outlook
- Attention to detail, accuracy and proficient proofreading skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
