Detailed Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications
Electrical control design, PLC, HMI Programming, ACad Drafting
Existing product line improvements, developments
Engage in new product development activities that are in line with the company’s strategy.
Test and troubleshoot electrical equipment and components to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
Read and interpret drawings and electrical code specifications.
Create electrical BOM and release items to be ordered.
Communicate with customers, suppliers as required.
Ensure all project requirements are met.
Production support as required (assembly, wiring and testing phase)
Development of company's technical standards and procedures
Provide after sales electrical product support to customers for equipment still under warranty.
QUALIFICATIONS
Electrical Technologist or Electrical Engineering degree is required
10 years applicable electrical engineering experience.
Proficient in AutoCad software
Good understanding of diesel and natural gas engines is an asset.
Detailed knowledge of the Canadian Electrical code and additional industry standards.
Computer knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and flexible to work well under tight schedules.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
