Barrhaven Music Academy is looking for an eager and positive piano teacher to take all or a few of the following shifts:
***For September onward - Wednesdays 3:00pm to 9:00pm, Fridays 3:00pm to 8:00pm, Saturdays 10:00am to 2:00pm
The candidate must:
Have knowledge of the RCM Program (completed Minimum Level 8 or equivalent in piano and theory)
Be reliable, punctual and respectful
Be patient
Love working with kids
Be sociable
Humble Confidence
Provide ample customer service
Care about their students and their progress
Pay range is based on credentials and experience. Beginner teachers also encouraged to apply as training is provided. Regular teachers at BMA are official employees, not contractors, so they receive 4% vacation pay that is auto added, EI and employer CPP contributions, and do not have to bother with any administrative tasks, as well as a simple T4 at the end of the year. Highly organized institution providing quality lessons.
An interview will be offered to applicants who seem suitable for the job.
It is a great casual job for teachers running their own private studios to take on extra regular shifts OR for students of any age who need teaching experience in order to pursue a future career in education and be accepted into a B.Ed program. Many teachers at BMA have been successfully accepted into various universities for B.Ed due to their experience as a professional teacher here.
