Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Sushi Restaurant Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Experience in the food service industry, especially in a restaurant or hospitality setting, is preferred. Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and courteously, presenting menus and answering questions about menu items, including sushi options.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Serve food and drinks with professionalism, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the shift.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Maintain knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered promptly.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple tables efficiently while providing attentive guest service.
- Assist with cleaning duties, including sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas to uphold hygiene standards.
- Support guest needs proactively, ensuring a positive dining experience from seating to check presentation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; familiarity with the food industry is advantageous.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards consistently.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and making change accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods.
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not mandatory.
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
