Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations in a vibrant food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Duties
- Supervise daily cafe operations, including food preparation, serving, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and efficient team
- Oversee food handling procedures, kitchen operations, and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately using Micros POS systems and manage cash handling procedures
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and optimal customer experience
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Interview prospective employees, participate in hiring decisions, and onboard new team members
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the cafe environment in accordance with safety standards
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles, including supervising teams and managing operations
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for cash handling and order processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to lead by example in hospitality settings
- Effective team management, leadership, and communication abilities
- Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training staff within the food industry or hospitality sector
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, kitchen operations, and restaurant experience preferred
- Background in hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
