iGaming Ontario is an agency of the Government of Ontario responsible for conducting and managing the Province’s regulated internet gaming (iGaming) market. Established in July 2021, iGaming Ontario works with private gaming operators and government stakeholders to deliver a safe, sustainable, and healthy market that operates in the public interest.

Department Overview
The Agency Compliance team is responsible for delivering iGaming Ontario’s centralized compliance program. Through compliance monitoring, research, policy analysis, and program administration, the team works across the organization to promote accountability, manage compliance risks, and support effective governance. The Agency Compliance team collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop compliance initiatives, strengthen operational practices, and foster a culture of compliance throughout the agency. Their work helps ensure that iGaming Ontario meets its obligations while maintaining transparency, integrity, and operational excellence.
Work Description
As part of the Agency Compliance function, you will assist with a variety of activities, which may include:
- Assisting with monitoring legislative, regulatory, policy, and directive changes to support timely updates and operational processes.
- Contributing to the analysis and interpretation and application of government legislation, policies, and directives in a compliance context.
- Supporting research activities, including environmental scans of compliance frameworks, industry models, and best practices across relevant organizations.
- Helping maintain and update compliance tools and resources, including calendars, control libraries, and document repositories.
- Assisting in the preparation of written materials such as process documentation, dashboards, reports, and briefing presentations.
- Providing general administrative and project support to the Agency Compliance team as needed.
How do I qualify?
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in relevant fields such as Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other MS Office applications (experience with Power BI, Visio, or similar tools considered an asset).
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines while ensuring a high quality of work.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment and with various stakeholders across the agency.
Mandatory
You must meet all eligibility criteria by the first day of employment:
1. Co-op Student Status: Enrolled as a full-time post-secondary student in a co-operative education program at a recognized institution.
2. Work Environment: You must be living in the province of Ontario during the term of employment and you are required to work in office 5 days a week.
3. Work Status: Eligible to work in Canada.
