Job Summary
We are seeking a hardworking, reliable, and physically fit Groundsman / General Laborer to join our team. This is a dual-role position where you will support our tree care operations and assist with excavation projects. If you enjoy working outdoors, don't mind heavy lifting, and thrive in a fast-paced team environment, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Tree Care Operations: Assist climbers and bucket operators by clearing brush, dragging branches, feeding the wood chipper, and cutting logs.
- Excavation & Site Prep: Assist with digging, trenching, moving materials, leveling dirt, and preparing job sites for excavation equipment.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain hand tools, chainsaws, blowers, and potentially heavy machinery (training provided for the right candidate).
- Site Safety & Cleanup: Maintain a clean and safe job site by gathering tools, raking debris, and ensuring all safety protocols are strictly followed.
Candidate Requirements (What We Are Looking For)
- Reliable Transportation: You must have your own reliable vehicle to get to our main office daily (public transit is not accessible to our location). Own truck and ability to tow a bonus.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain), including heavy lifting.
- Team Player: A strong work ethic and the ability to take direction well from team leads and equipment operators.
- Safety-Minded: Consistent awareness of your surroundings, especially around heavy machinery, falling timber, and power lines.
- Experience (Preferred but not required): Previous experience in tree service, landscaping, roofing, or construction/excavation is a major plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
