Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated 3rd/4th Year Apprentice Electrician to join our dynamic construction and industrial electrical team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop advanced electrical skills in a hands-on environment, working on diverse projects that require precision and technical expertise. Must be available to work overtime, weekends and out of town when required.
Duties
- Assist licensed electricians in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in industrial and commercial facilities.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to execute electrical work accurately.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform wiring, conduit installation, and equipment setup.
- Work with low voltage systems, including control wiring and signal circuits.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify faults efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to OSHA regulations during all phases of work.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
Experience
- Previous experience with industrial electrician work or construction is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with electrical hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprint reading, low voltage systems, and construction processes is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and standards.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Practical experience working with low voltage wiring or control systems is a plus.
