Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using Square POS system
- Prepare bubble tea drinks, slush beverages, and other menu items following established recipes and food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, including cash handling and POS operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the serving area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers during peak hours without compromising quality or service speed
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with opening/closing duties as assigned
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is preferred but not required
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in serving beverages like bubble tea or coffee is desirable but not required; training will be provided for specific menu items and procedures
