Job Overview:

All candidates must be able to independently take parts from fit-up through welding and finishing without needing significant training, rework or touch ups afterward.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Fabrication Lead to organize and complete fabrication tasks including:
- Fabricating stainless steel frames, skids, sheet metal and support structures
- Installing process equipment on frames / skids
- Create and maintain accurate BOM’s and assist with procurement
- Accountable for the accurate review and inclusion of critical scope details
- Maintain detailed daily timesheets
- Maintain shop equipment and tools as well as clean work area
Experience & Qualifications:
- 5+ years relevant fabrication experience or equivalent demonstrated ability
- Strong stainless TIG welding, especially thin-gauge sheet metal
- High-quality exposed welds with minimal grinding/finishing
- Stainless fit-up, distortion control, grinding, blending and grain matching
- Food-grade machinery fabrication and hygienic finishes
- Reading fabrication drawings and identifying fit-up/buildability issues
- Aluminum and mild steel TIG welding would be an asset
- Experience with joint preparation for stainless steel tig welding on both tubing and piping in the sanitary industry including the use of argon purge gas through pipe and tube IDs would be an asset
- Experience with construction and fabrication of stainless steel process skids and support structures
- Familiar with equipment installation including pumps, valves, meters, etc.
- Ability to read and provide design input on shop fabrication drawings
- Mechanical assembly experience, including fastening/torque practices, equipment installation, pneumatics and general machine assembly would be an asset
- Must be a team player promoting a supportive and collaborative company culture

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
