Duties:
- Assist in building custom timber frame homes and structures.
- Cut, lay out and assemble timber frames, stairways, decorative features and various other projects (additions, porches etc).
- Opportunity to advance to a lead Carpenter / Supervisor role.
- Responsible for building and assembling timber frame structures according to drawings and specifications.
- Use saws, drills, chisels, hammers, and other power and hand tools safely.
Qualifications:
- Timber Framing knowledge and/or experience is an asset but not required. Training will be provided.
- Must have interest in woodworking/timber frame construction as well as desire to learn high performance building techniques.
- Must be detail oriented and precise.
- Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Must be eager to learn and work as part of a team.
- Heavy lifting is required - Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- A Driver's license and reliable vehicle are required to travel to various job sites in Haliburton County.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
