As Camp Maintenance Facilitator, you are responsible for day-to-day upkeep and repairs. Camp is currently non-operational with minimal staff on site. Hoping to start opening up again in the near future as demand dictates. There will be some shift in task requirements once camp is reopened and more managerial tasks will be required to meet the needs of clients. Shifts will typically consist of 24 days on and 7 days off.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The major responsibilities are listed below but they are not strictly limited to this list.
Routine Daily Inspections
These inspections are to ensure that equipment’s normal operating conditions and product levels are monitored and recorded on a daily basis.
- Inspection of the operating generator(s) and recording the readings in the appropriate log book(s)
- Small repairs and maintenance on modular trailers.
- Removal and disposal of garbage to the incinerator and burning. The ashes are to be removed and disposed of on a regular basis ensuring they are cool before placing in the dumpster
- During winter months all sidewalks and exits are to be kept free of snow and ice accumulation, salt areas when required
- All heat trace circuits are to be inspected for correct operation on a daily basis during winter months
- A general walk through of the camp interior and grounds noting any deficiencies that requires attention
Equipment Scheduled Maintenance
- Prioritize daily routine maintenance and repairs such as, light bulb replacement, door handle repairs, etc.
Emergency Repairs
- Circumstances will inevitably arise when emergency action/repairs will be required, i.e.: water or sewer line break/freeze-up, diesel generator failure. Not a requirement but experience is an asset.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School
- A trade is preferred
- Criminal Record Check
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Estimating consumptions and supplies (fuel / water, etc.)
- Troubleshooting
- Electrical / Mechanical / Plumbing (asset, not a requirement)
