Responsibilities
As part of the Placement Office team, this position is responsible for assisting Placement Office staff with various aspects of practice based experience (PBE) placement processes such as affiliation agreements, PBE data entry, and Occupational Health & Safety/Security PBE requirements. In addition, will be responsible for providing general Placement Office support as required.

Job Duties
Duties include: accurate entry of various data elements (e.g. demographics, course information, document transcription, etc.) related to student placements for multiple programs, assisting with affiliation agreement processes; distribution of PBE related identifications to students (e.g. photo ID’s, access cards, etc.), and providing support for the administrative and general office functions of the Placement Office (e.g. filing, booking appointments, document preparation, mail outs, reception, etc.).

This position may evolve to encompass additional duties as part of the ongoing Placement Office’s growth in supporting existing programs (e.g. use of web based technology such as SharePoint, document digitization, etc.), the initiative for centralizing PBE management within the college, and other assignments as needs arise.

Required Qualifications
A 2-year diploma with an office administration focus, a minimum of 3 years related experience in an office setting, proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, and Access), email, Internet navigation, and familiarity with data base functionality and usage is required. Combination of education and experience may be considered.

Well-developed organizational and prioritization skills are required, as duties encompass managing simultaneously occurring responsibilities for a number of programs. Good interpersonal skills are necessary, as this role involves regular verbal and written communication with students and staff. Requires ability to use a wide range of Microsoft Office features including use of advanced functions such as merges between applications, creation and modification of spreadsheets and charts, application of query and report functions, email communication and electronic storage, Internet usage as an information source, and use of web-based applications.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference given to applicants with experience within a post-secondary education environment. Technical/IT experience, expertise, and aptitude would be considered an asset.
