Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for assisting with the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) Department including recruitment, administering benefits, handling matters pertaining to the operations of the company including, enforcing company policies, accident/incident investigations, onboarding/ offboarding employment, training and other administrative tasks.
- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Serve as a point of contact for human resources related matters
- Administer new employee on-boarding, orientation and maintain employee personnel records.
- Distribute communications on changes to policies and procedures.
- Assist with recruitment, interviews, and facilitate the onboarding of new hires; collaborate with managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Participate in the occupational health and safety programs, monthly health and safety meetings.
- Be a point of contact for employee benefits
- Process WSIB claims, including completing accident reports, submitting WSIB forms.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant employment laws and employee legislation requirements to ensure compliance and best practices are being maintained
- Fosters and maintains positive relationships with company’s employees, vendors and stakeholders.
- Works in compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and all other relevant governmental legislation
- Performs other duties as assigned
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
