Position Overview
Louis W. Bray Construction is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to provide operational oversight for construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure project quality, schedule, cost control, safety, and customer satisfaction objectives are met.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure project plans contain all necessary information and requirements, and that fieldwork is successfully executed based on project plans.
- Adhere to company policies/procedures and abide by OHSA standards.
- Attend and organize all necessary meetings, maintaining solid relationships with clients, engineers, and contractors.
- Improve key performance indices and general project performance.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining exceptional quality.
- Provide overall supervision, coordination, and management of onsite activity.
- Manage trades productivity, proper use of equipment and materials, and performance levels of every project.
- Manage submittals and document flow.
- Demonstrate excellent leadership abilities with proven skill to manage field staff.
- Build trust and long-term relationships with our stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role as a Site Superintendent for infrastructure projects.
- Ability to liaise and coordinate daily operations with the client and owners, including subcontractors and suppliers, while ensuring operations are not interrupted.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Pre-existing relationships with local trades is a huge asset.
- Experience with MTO & CCDC.
- Willingness to travel out of town.
